Here is something I had to do for VLACS. Before, I had images, but they do not show up on my blog, so I deleted the reasons that I chose the image.

I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us -- don't tell!
They'd banish -- you know!
How dreary to be Somebody!
How public like a Frog
To tell one's name the livelong day
To an admiring Bog!
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us -- don't tell!
They'd banish -- you know!
How dreary to be Somebody!
How public like a Frog
To tell one's name the livelong day
To an admiring Bog!
- Emily Dickinson
I like this poem, because sometimes I feel like I am nobody,
when I am not listened to in the car. Truthfully, it is probably because I
ramble on.
"Dream Deferred"
by Langston Hughes
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
I like this poem because it is
creative.
Room Poem
I have colorful
paintings on the wall,
And I hear all the
talking in the hall,
My iPod gives me a wonderful
beat,
And my nice warm
blanket gives me some heat,
At nighttime I will get
to rest my head,
And snuggle up in my
soft cozy bed.
-Logan
I chose this poem, because it is my favorite one I
wrote.
Bacon
Bacon
is cooking
Greasy,
crunchy, salty, yum!
Hear
its sizzle, spit!
-Logan
I chose this poem because it is
about the best food in the world.
The
Beach
Waves
are crashing down
The
water, bright and foamy
Sand,
warm on my feet
-Logan
I
like this poem because I love the beach.
I also chose it because I can’t wait to go back to the beach.
